In the U.S., one million people are now living with HIV, and more than 500,000 of those are Black. Wait, there’s more: Did you know Black women make up nearly 60 percent of all new HIV cases among women in the US? The statistics facing our community are tragic and beyond alarming, but the worst thing we can do is give up.
How can we come together to reverse this? We can be greater than these numbers, and greater than the disease. Many of your favorite Black women in Hollywood have partnered with the Greater than AIDS Movement to come together and help spread HIV/AIDS Awareness. They’re challenging you to take charge of the situation, and asking women all over the world to do better.
Watch now to find out what actresses and entertainers Vanessa Williams, Shaun Robinson, Nadine Ellis, Tamala Jones, MC Lyte, Naturi Naughton, Essence Atkins, Yvette Nicole Brown, and more want you to do.
