Forty years later, the childhood friends who formed New Edition together as kids then went on to become one of the biggest R&B groups of all time are still the best of friends.
Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Ricky Bell were recently spotted vacationing together on a yacht with their wives in celebration of bandmate Bobby Brown’s 50th birthday. Of course, Brown’s wife and manager Alicia Etheridge-Brown was also on hand to host the festivities and help her man bring in a new year of life.
Brown’s birthday party was an all-white affair that took place in Los Angeles on a luxury yacht.
The happy couples took to Instagram to share a few of their favorite memories from the epic boat ride.
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamari DeVoe, whose been married to Ronnie DeVoe for 13 years, shared this photo of herself posing with Ricky Bell’s wife Amy Correa Bell and Michael Bivin’s wife, Teasha Bivins, and her caption was absolute perfection. “From left to right it’s #BellBivDeVoe” Aww!
Quadruple dates are nothing new for these couples, who are all going strong. The Bells tied the knot in 2004 and in March 2018 released their first ever duet together.
The Bivins are celebrating 13 years together.
Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike are currently touring as the group RBRM, with upcoming dates throughout the country in 2019.
