After decades together, Oprah Winfrey still knows many ways to make her man Stedman Graham happy, and one of them begins in the kitchen.
On Wednesday, the media mogul took over her O Mag Instastory to answer questions from editors on everything from her friendship with Gayle King to the last time she actually stepped foot inside a grocery store. While all of her responses were riveting, perhaps one of the most noteworthy (and just darn cute) moments was when she explained what she likes to cook for her man on date night.
“Perfect date night with Stedman,” the 64-year-old began. “Well, I am a really good cook and the wonderful thing about Stedman is in all the years that I’ve been cooking for him, no matter what it is, even if it’s just a piece of toast—like the other day I made an english muffin and he’s like, ‘where did you get this english muffin?’ and I’m like, it’s an english muffin!—so he is delighted with anything I make.”

Her go-to date night dinner is simple–and we’re taking notes.
“So my favorite date night is to make him black eyed peas and cornbread as a surprise for dinner. And then,” she says before adding a wink, “honey, hush! That’s all you need a little black eyed peas and cornbread. That’s it, the perfect date night and then—it’s on.”
That does indeed sound like a perfect date night.
