Luvvie Ajayi is officially a married woman! The author and co-host of the Jesus and Jollof podcast said “I do” to her husband in a dual American & Nigerian ceremony, officially becoming Mrs. Jones.
The bride has been keeping us abreast of the action via her Instagram stories, which include a fun fact about her and her husband having to stay awake a full 24 hours for the two weddings. “I’m exhausted but wired,” she writes. “I’ve processed none of it, which is why I need my friends’ pic, videos and instastories to reflect.”
Thankfully, there were plenty of moments shared. Celebrity guests like Yvonne Orji, Cynthia Erivo and Bozoma St. John were in the building and shared plenty of photos from the big event.
For the American portion of her event, Luvvie wore a beautiful ivory lace wedding gown with a beautiful cutout. Photos of the bride and groom looking crazy in love while cutting their cake made its rounds online. Swoon!
For their Nigerian ceremony, The Jones wore gorgeous turquoise outfits. The family prayed over the couple and surrounded them with so much love.
And get we get into Luvvie’s Aso Ebi crew? The ladies looked gorgeous in their champagne-colored dress.
Don’t think this was all about the look with no fun. The couple and their guests danced the night away at both ceremonies, keeping the dance floor hot at all times. The turn up was real!
Ajayi first announced her engagement back in November 2018 on her Instagram page. “My favorite asked me to do this life thing with him while we were in Paris and I said YES,” she captioned a photo of herself showing off her gorgeous engagement ring with her fiance peeking behind her.
Her bride squad then celebrated the upcoming nuptials with a #LuvvJones themed bachelorette trip to Anguilla. Every single look was a vibe.
Congratulations to the beautiful couple!
