Brooklyn, New York couple Prezzie and Ty originally wanted to tie the knot on their home turf, but settled on the spacious and more suburban city of Long Island to get more bang for their buck.
With the help of her superstar wedding planner Janelle Morris from Kaylabelle Events, Prezzie was able to scale the growing guest list and floral costs to her budget and pull off the wedding day of her Pinterest dreams.
Prezzie and Ty looked so in love on this day, and they absolutely tore the roof off that reception. If only we could be a fly on the wall!

How They Met
“I was in junior high school and my friend, his sister introduced us. I instantly had a crush on him and he paid me no attention Fast forward 11 years later, his sister invited us out to go hang out in DUMBO. Once I realized Ty was there, my inner giddy junior high school girl returned. I whispered in his sister’s ear that I was interested in him and she screamed to him ‘do you think she is cute and do you want her number?’ His reply” ‘yes and yes.’ The rest is history.”

The Proposal
“It was an intimate and simple proposal. I was in our bedroom getting ready to go to my pharmacy rotation. I turned around and he was on one knee. I cried, overwhelmed with emotion. We were talking about it for a long time but I did not know that he was going to propose then.”

At Ease and In Love
It felt surreal to be a bride. Honestly, it was not nerve-racking the day of and I was calm, except for one random crying episode while getting my makeup done. I had a great team who took on all the stress for me. I wasn’t nervous about getting married because my heart was at ease with who I was marrying, I had no doubts.”

The Bell Of The Ball
“I went to a Kleinfeld’s sample sale and had to find a dress in less than an hour. This wasn’t a challenge for me, because I am not one to take my time in a store. I didn’t know what I envisioned myself in, but I knew I didn’t want a ballroom dress and I wanted lace and beading with a hint of Princess Diana. I found my dress, designed by Ysa Makino and liked it but I felt like something was missing and indeed something was. After making my purchase, I searched the model number online and discovered my dress came with an amazing overskirt that I had to have.”
