The Norwoods are about to welcome a new addition to the family. Ray J and his wife Princess Love, stars of the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, just announced that they’re expecting their second child in January 2020.
The couple made the announcement with a poolside picture along with their one-year-old daughter Melody. Love displayed her adorable baby bump in a black one-piece swimsuit. The photo series also include a family portrait of the mom, dad and baby dressed in white. Baby Melody’s t-shirt reads, “Big Sis.” Could it get any cuter?
“Somebody’s gonna be a big sis,” Princess wrote on her Instagram page. “New addition arriving Jan 2020.”
Ray J and Princess Love wed in August 2016 in a Los Angeles ceremony that aired on Love & Hip Hop. Ray J’s sister Brandy both sang at the wedding and served as the best woman.
As seen on the show, there was some brief tension between Love and the Norwood family (namely Brandy and Ray J’s mother Sonja.) However, the couple revealed that the birth of their daughter Melody in May 2018 helped ease the family feud.
“The baby has brought us back together,” Princess told ESSENCE exclusively in October 2018. “I think the reason me and [Ray J’s mom] clashed is because she says I’m a lot like her. So when two strong personalities disagree on something they clash.”
She went on to say that things between the families have gotten better, and that, with the exception of her own mother, Ray’s mom is “the only person I trust with the baby.”
Congratulations to the Norwoods!
