It’s only been a few weeks since the exciting news that married rappers and reality stars Remy Ma and Papoose are expecting, and these lovebirds are counting down the days until their bundle of joy arrives.
The Mackies, who each have a child of their own from previous relationships, have been quite vocal about wanting to expand their family, however, health issues have prevented that from happening in the past. The couple has publicly shared their struggles to conceive and Remy’s experience with multiple ectopic pregnancies. The ectopic pregnancies resulted in Remy losing her fallopian tubes, which consequently made the couple seek out other options such as in-vitro fertilization.
“This was my second ectopic pregnancy, a complication of pregnancy in which the embryo attaches outside the uterus, so I’ve lost both of my fallopian tubes. While I was crying in the hospital bed the doctor told me, ‘It’s fine, you still have your uterus and your eggs are good, you can just do in vitro fertilization. We can put the baby where it needs to be, it’ll cost you anywhere between $10,000 to $20,000.’ I didn’t think about it because, not to brag, I have the $10,000 to $20,000 to pay for it. It wasn’t until I came out with [my story] that I learned a lot of women also have this issue.”
After several attempts, Remy and Papoose are now expecting a baby in the next few months, and they are not shy about showing just how excited and blessed they feel.
At ESSENCE Fest 2018, Papoose posed alongside his wife and didn’t forget to mention their newest addition still baking in the oven.
“Y’all gotta See our sonogram! My baby doesn’t sit still for nobody! #blacklove #icantwait”
The mommy to be also started to show off her slight baby bump, while sipping on “Mocktails & NOjitos” in this photo.
Both parents shared a romantic night out for Wendy Williams’ Hunter Birthday Give Back Gala in which Papoose mentions their newest blessing “The Golden Child”
“These are good times for us!!! Baby on the way… Feeling blessed #thegoldenchild peace to @wendyshow @monascottyoung #johnnygill great Performance my my my #blacklove”
The couple is counting down the days to celebrate their newest addition to their family.
“Impatiently counting down the days! Can’t wait to meet our unborn child. #blacklove,” the rapper shared.
Baby Mackie is on the way, and we couldn’t be happier for them!
