Tamar Braxton took some time off to visit the motherland and is having the time of her life! She and boyfriend David Adefeso visited his native country of Nigeria and are soaking up every aspect of the culture.
This was by no means just a baecation. In fact, this trip was a family affair as Braxton brought along her son Logan, her sister Towanda and her boyfriend Sean Hall, her mother Evelyn. During their stay, Braxton and her boo have grown closer while immersed in the spirit of the nation’s capital, Lagos. Though Adefeso hasn’t gotten around to posting photos just yet, the singer has been sharing gems from their trip – like this video of her bae showing off his dance moves in front of the Nike Centre for Art and Culture.
Tamar looked stunning in this traditional gele head wrap right before they headed to a family wedding.
In the video from the wedding ceremony, Braxton revealed how awesome it was to take this journey abroad with her man. “My @david.adefeso is a dream come true and coming home was the BEST thing I’ve done in a long time,” she writes. “I’m so honored to be apart of this spectacular family.”
The couple even visited the Royal Palace of Blessings and took part in a traditional ceremony.

During a 2018 appearance on The Wendy Williams Show is when Braxton first teased her new relationship with Adefeso. “I met him at a friend’s birthday party, thank you God, he’s so fine! I can’t take it sometimes. It’s like a whole snack — a Lunchable!” she told the audience. “He lives in L.A., he’s originally from Nigeria, but he lived here for a while.”
Now that Braxton and her ex-husband Vince Herbert are officially divorced, she can officially (and legally) move on and live her best life. Congrats girl!
