Usher and Tameka Foster recently came together to celebrate a momentous occasion – they officially have a teenager on their hands!
The proud parents put together an epic Call Of Duty themed paintball party for their son Usher V (aka Cinco) at Hollywood Sports Paintball in Los Angeles. The celebration was attended by all Usher V’s friends and family, who came decked out in army gear.
“Always have been, always will be a Big Shot,” Usher captioned an Instagram collage dedicated to his son. “You wanna be grown…so fast!! Slow down. I love my lil’ man, and am missing those days one year at a time. Well there it is … I’m 13 years older.😏…than you. I love you Kiddo…you are my favorite 13-year-old in the world. Thank you for not forgetting where you came from.”
For her part, Foster shared a collage of Usher V throughout the years, showing how he’s picked up traits from both mom and dad. “Join me in wishing my newly minted teenager a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY,” she wrote. “My sweet gamer [and] new golfer is both handsome and thoughtful. I love you URV. Forever, your Mom.”
Foster also shared some moments from her son’s party, which was the first time she’d ever been paintballing. There’s a first time for everything, right?
Together, Usher and Foster share two sons: Usher V and Naviyd. Foster is the proud mother of five sons in total, and Usher recently welcomed his third child: a daughter named Sovereign who was just born last month.
After their widely publicized divorce and subsequent custody battle in 2009, Usher and Foster have come out on the other side as friends. Foster publicly expressed their friendship in honor of her ex-husband’s 40th birthday. “We have endured good times, fat times😂, bad brows, goofy moments, funny assed memories, sad ones, happy days, pissed hours and many mad months. Through it all… I’m grateful for our Family dynamic and my funny, beautiful, smart, charismatic boys!”
