Kim is clearly at the end of her tether with her sidekick, disguised as a personal assistant, Sweetie. The two get into a mild war of words as they clean up Kim’s house. “I hate my life,” declares Sweetie, before threatening to call local consumer advocate Clark Howard to report her mistreatment. Kim wants to fire her “friend” but just hasn’t mustered up the courage to do so.
Little did we know one has to embalm at least 10 bodies before they can get a mortician’s certificate. Though she can’t wait to get her hands on a real body, Phaedra Parks gets down to the business of draining arteries and inserting formaldehyde into a dummy she names “Annabel.” Phaedra lights up when applying makeup on Annabel. “The face is a little different because of the stiffness," she says. "But at the end of the day, it’s still a canvas, and I will paint it.”
Cynthia and Peter are back to talking about money, or their lack thereof. As they plan their anniversary party, which is clocking in near $10,000, Peter reveals that he’s gone over the budget and may need to borrow $1,000. “To please the type of people we roll with,” he says explaining the hefty price tag.
Gregg and NeNe team up to get the real deal on her son Bryon’s recent troubles with the law. Bryson says he doesn’t know why he stole two razors worth $28 from a local Wal-Mart, nor what he wants to do with his life. “Stop making dumb decisions,” says Gregg in one of the best parenting moments on reality TV.
“I love being the only woman in a circle of men,” says NeNe after greeting Peter’s friends at their anniversary party. “Am I single?” she asks to no one in particular. It’ll be interesting to see how NeNe’s “divorce” plays out since she seems skeptical of signing on the dotted line in next week’s episode.
Marlo has kicked NFL player Charles Grant to the curb and shows up to Cynthia and Peter’s anniversary with a date — an older gentleman named Dave. Judging by Marlo’s expensive taste, we assume Dave is a rich man. NeNe reminds us that she’s also “dating” John Kolaj, a White man with deep pockets and a knack for buying her Louboutins. “White is right,” she declares.
Sheree decides to tell her hairstylist Lawrence about Marlo using a gay slur during an argument in South Africa. Lawrence immediately confronts Marlo, who denies the whole thing (gotta love Marlo – it’s on tape, boo), saying she “loves gay people.” Sheree and Lawrence double check with Kandi who confirms the whole thing, but not before noting that Sheree loves to throw people under the bus."
Peter and Cynthia may be celebrating their one-year anniversary, but her big sis Malorie and her mom are still bringing the drama from the wedding last year. “Is Peter bipolar?,” asks Barbara. The backtalk boils to a fever pitch when Peter invites “everyone but Malorie” to come outside and toast the anniversary. Why did he go there? Malorie can be seen muttering “***hole” before confronting Cynthia about her man. From there, things just go from bad to worse, and Malorie storms out of the party.
