“I think I realized very early on that something was different about TJ,” says proud bride Cadesha. “When we first met, I was in the middle of studying for final exams and he was interested in getting to know me better and I set these ridiculous ground rules, like we couldn’t go out on any dates until finals were completely over. I just knew I would never hear from him again. I knew that this guy had to be special because he barely knew me and complied with all my crazy rules. When we were finally able to go out on dates and get to know each other he was very candid about his feelings for me and I appreciated that.”
“My wedding dress was a custom Winnie Couture Gown,” says the lovely bride.
Cadesha’s girls wore matching silk robes which were gifts from the bride.
“I loved the hairstylist that styled my hair during law school which is also the time period when I met with TJ and Rona was nice enough to travel to Atlanta to style me for the wedding weekend,” says Cadesha. “Mimi J did an amazing job with the makeup. I decided to wear my hair up for the wedding to really allow the dress to stand out.”
“It’s going to sound cliché, and I have heard people say it before, but there is something so comforting about a person who makes you comfortable enough to be your true self and not apologize for it,” says Cadesha.
“After I found my gown, I knew I wanted a cathedral veil with a little bit of sparkle,” says Cadesha. “I also fell in love with the Badgley Mischka Kiara shoes.”
“I fell in love with radiant orchids during our planning process,” Cadesha shares. “So we used them in my bouquet. We also used beautiful lavender roses and purple hydrangea in the centerpieces.”
“I would describe Cadesha as extremely loving and caring but she is also very ambitious and goal-oriented,” says the groom.
“I scoured several wedding magazines and Pinterest and I kept coming back to outdoor ceremonies that took place at sunset,” says the bride. “So when we visited the Wyndham Peachtree and I saw the Colonnade Terrace I was sold.”
“Noir by Lazaro designed the dresses,” says Cadesha of her bridesmaids’ dresses. “I absolutely love the eggplant color and the small lace train on the dresses.”
“Cadesha makes me a better person,” says TJ. “She has played a major part in my life. She inspires me to do better every day because of her hard work and determination to win.”
“The groom’s tux was a custom suit designed by TRIO Custom Clothiers,” says Cadesha. “We really wanted a clean crisp stylish look for the men. The groomsmen wore stylish grey suits with black lapels.”
“We knew we wanted our wedding to be a true reflection of who we are,” says the bride.
“Surprisingly, it felt great to be a bride,” says Cadesha. “I was a little nervous leading up to the wedding because I don’t care for lots of attention but I felt so happy the entire to day to be marrying my best friend and to be spending the day with friends and family.”
“Our wedding ceremony decor was very chic and glamorous,” Cadesha shares. “I loved the sheer purple draping added to the colonnade around with the beautiful chandelier and sequin aisle runner. We didn’t quite make sunset but I still turned out perfect.”
“Both of my parents walked me down the aisle,” Cadesha shares. “My mother and I are very close and I wanted her to be a part of such a big moment in my life.”
Cadet’s great-uncle officiated their ceremony. “He ministers the church I grew up in and it only seem right to have a family member officiate,” she says.
“We opted for traditional vows as we thought those words were befitting,” says Cadesha.
“She is an awesome person with a huge heart and I love everything about her,” says Cadesha.
“When I met Cadesha, I was new to the area and just looking to get to know people,” says TJ. “I didn’t expect to fall for her.”
“We did not cry on our wedding,” Cadesha tells us. “I think we were both overjoyed to become one. We had the biggest smiles on our faces the entire day.”
“We didn’t have any major mishaps on our wedding day,” Cadesha brags. “The weather was perfect and if anything came up our planner handled it without letting us know about it!”
“We hired a planner Christi Williams and she did an amazing job of finding the right vendors to pull our vision together and working with me and I turned out to be very hands on bride,” says Cadesha.
The couple chose Chrisette Michelle’s “A Couple of Forevers” for their first dance.
“I would describe TJ as loving, patient, and easy going,” says TJ. “We definitely balance each other out!”
“When I met TJ, I wasn’t looking for love,” says Cadesha. “I was completely focused on finishing law school and starting my career so it was a pleasant surprise.”
“We loved our reception from the food to everyone being on the dance floor the entire night,” says the bride. “I think we also really loved the first look. It was nice to have a moment alone before the chaos started.”
“My mother-in-law is a baker and was nice enough to make our wedding cake,” Cadesha shares. “It was a six tier white chocolate cake with white chocolate icing decorated with fresh radiant orchids.”
“We really wanted to give our guests favors that they would really use and we knew most people wouldn’t leave food behind,” says Cadesha. “So, we gave our guests mini champagne bottles!”
“We had a DJ and a host that did an amazing job of keeping the party going,” says the bride.
“I said yes because from the very start TJ has loved me for the person I am despite the fact I can be really strong willed, very opinionated, and a bit rigid at times,” says Cadesha. “He’s never tried to change me or even become annoyed with me because of it. He loves me no questions asked.”
“I probably realized between 3-6 months into the relationship that I wanted to share my life with her, but I knew within the first two months she was wife material,” says TJ.
“I chose to make Cadesha my wife because I had never experienced a love like this,” TJ tells us. “She makes me happy and keeps me smiling. She has a loving caring heart and this determination to never fail that even motivates me to be better.”
