Always And Forever
Charnetta and her new husband Nick first met over fifteen years ago. “At the insistence of one of my best friends, I agreed to hang out with her, Nick, and his brother for a double date,” the bride recalls. “Our first meeting was unfortunate and involved my friend and I being followed by my dad. He insisted on meeting every guy I dated, and needless to say, our first date didn’t go very well!” The date was so awkward, Charnetta didn’t think they would ever see each other again, but she was wrong. They kept in contact, and over time, they built a solid friendship that eventually blossomed into much more.
Remember The Time
One summer day in August, 2013, Nick came to visit Charnetta and told her to pack an overnight bag, but refused to tell her where they were going. When they arrived at their destination, she quickly smiled when she realized they were back at a hotel he had once taken here to a few years ago to celebrate her birthday. That night, Nick proposed over a candlelight dinner on the rooftop terrace overlooking the East River. “He timed it so that one of my favorite songs (“A Couple of Forevers” by Christette Michele) was playing softly in the background just as he got down on one knee,” she recalls. “It was a very emotional moment for both of us and it couldn’t have been more perfect!” Read the rest of their love story and see their fierce wedding style.
