When Dunnie, a special events producer, and Ibrahim, a director, first met, it was as if fireworks had gone off on a movie set. “Orchids are my favorite flower, so deciding to use the Valentine Cuff by Diann Valentine for my big day was a very natural decision,” says Dunnie of her fabulous and non-traditional bouquet choice.
“It was very magical and special from start to finish,” says Dunnie. “I am so thankful to God for allowing me to have my dream wedding.”
“What I love most about her is her silliness and determination,” says proud groom Ibrahim.
“It was unexpected, but I always lived with an open heart, so when he came into my life I was ready to give our love the opportunity to grow,” says Dunnie.
“She is everything I’ve always wanted in a woman and partner, so it was a very natural decision for me to ask her to marry me,” says the groom.
“I’m happy to be his wife because he is so loving,” says Dunnie. “He works to always make sure the people in his life are well taken care of and he is also so supportive of everything that I do.”
Dunnie’s bridesmaids were pretty in pink in these gorgeous gowns from OYATO.

“My husband selected the groomsman attire,” says Dunnie. “He wanted them to look classic and timeless.”

The couple tied the knot at the Greystone Mansion Formal Garden in Beverly Hills, California. “We both wanted an outdoor ceremony so we researched for months to find the right location,” says Dunnie. “When we visited Greystone in person we knew instantly that’s where we wanted to get married.”
The flower girl charmed the crowd as they prepared to greet Dunnie on her way down the aisle.
“My daddy walked me down the aisle,” says Dunnie. “He raised me and has always been a great father to me.”
“Ibrahim’s uncle officiated because he’s been very supportive of our love and relationship,” say Dunnie.
“We had amazing weather on our wedding day,” says the groom. “We were very blessed.”
“I don’t like the spotlight very much,” says Ibrahim on how it felt to be the groom on his big day. “I am used to being the behind the scenes but it was nice that everything pretty much went as planned.”
“We both decided to speak from our hearts on that day,” says Dunnie. “Looking into his eyes at the altar, it was like he was the only person there. My heart was over flowing with love for him.”
Make way for the newlyweds! (What a romantic ceremony setting…sigh…garden weddings get us every time.) Wedding planners Mr. Ronnie Dampier and Ms. Jalisa Greene teamed up with Dunnie and Ibrahim to make their dream wedding a reality. Now this is what we call a dream team! #Success
Dunnie and Ibrahim and their family looked like royalty on the big day. We love it!
“When I first saw her at the grocery store I knew I wanted her,” admits Ibrahim. “After we spoke for the first time, I then knew for certain.”
“She really is more than words and describe,” says Ibrahim. “She is everything to me!”
For their first dance as husband and wife the couple chose to sway to ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ by LaBrinth and Emile Sande. (And, notice the gorgeous outfit change!)
African dancers entertained guests at the couple’s lavish reception party.
“We had a red velvet cake that was accented with bling and orchids with a beautiful bling H for the topper in honor of our new last name,” Dunnie explains. “It was made by Eb’s Delites.”
Even the bridesmaids enjoyed an outfit swap for the evening. (Looks by OYATO!) They were designed to complement the bride’s pink mermaid reception gown.
There were sweet treats galore for the bride and groom to enjoy with their guests. Dunnie and Ibrahim, we love your style! (Kudos to Platinum Candy Buffets for this masterpiece!)
Even the dance floor was decadent and custom made just for the lucky in love couple.
