Ebony wanted a classic and timeless dress when searching for her Bridal look. Her goreous Nicole Miller wedding gown surely helped her acheive that goal in a memorable way!
“I’ve never actually dreamed of being a bride, never daydreamed about my wedding day at all,” said Ebony about the thought of saying “I do.” But her anxieties faded away when she found the one and the bid day neared. “It was a big celebration and one of the happiest days of my life.”
Ebony was truly glowing as she received the final touches before her walk down the aisle! With last minute touches to her hair makeup, she was almost ready to make her way to Devon, for their forever to begin.
While searching for a gown, Ebony tried on five different dresses before she found “the one.” But as soon as she zipped up her dress she knew it was the dress of her dreams.
Ebony wanted something simple, sweet and sophisticated for her bridal bouquet. With small ivory and burnt orange roses along with blue thistles throughtout, that’s exactly what the bride got.
Out of all the things Devon loves about Ebony, it’s her ability to always let the people around her know they are special that he loves the most. “She goes out of her way to make people feel good about them selves,” he said.
“[She] always see’s the good in people no matter the circumstance,” said the groom of his bride.
“She has a warm personality that everyone loves to be around,” said Devon of his beautiful, beaming bride. “Her smile is infectious, which can light up a room.”
“He is ambitious, open-minded, handsome, and intelligent, with a great –sense of humor,” said the bride for her future hubby. “He keeps me balanced since I’m such a free – spirit.”
“His ability to always express how he feels in any situation, if something needs to be fixed or its perfect he will always let you know,” Ebony said of her groom.
“Being a groom feels magical, especially knowing someone will always be in your corner,” recalls Devon. “You have someone who is always going to be your rock. You can lean on them through good/bad times.”
Ebony rocked a simple navy blue shoe in her walk to Devon on their big day! So cute!
Devon popped the question to Ebony while the two were on vacation in L.A. When he asked her to be his forever, Ebony was on cloud 9.
Devon and Ebony’s daughter, Ryann, was involved in their big day! She is too cute!
Devon’s god-daughter Alani served as the flower girl on the couple’s wedding day. This behind the scenes photo is precious!
“I felt nothing [but] joy,” Ebony said remembering how it felt to look into the eyes of her groom on their wedding day. “I was finally marrying my soul mate. He isn’t the man of my dreams, he is the man who was made just for me.”
“We both wrote our own vows,” said Ebony. “This was something we talked about for years. I wanted to hear exactly what HE promised to do for the rest of his life and it was important that I shared my promise as well.”
The bride borrowed her mother’s earrings on her wedding day. It was such a beautiful touch!
Devon knew Ebony was the one when she would stay up hours upon hours to help him with his college papers. “Even though she did not get credit for it, she wanted me to succeed.” That’s love.
“I love the picture of the bridal party outside of the hotel,” said the bride of her favorite photo memories. “We look way too cool and elegant at the same time.”
Just like during their proposal, the sun surrounded Ebony and Devon on their wedding day! Their love truly glows.
Ebony hadn’t imagined life as a bride but when the time came, she was abolutely gorgeous! This shot is stunning!
“We wanted to choose a venue that would leave a memorable moment in our minds,” said Ebony. “Penthouse 808 was located in Queens, NY where we are from and it had an amazing view of bustling NYC. The property had warm and eclectic feel. Made for just for us!”
“I knew I would find true love because that’s all that I give,” said Ebony. “You get what you give. When I found it, I wasn’t quite sure that it was true love but I never let it go.”

For her reception centerpieces, Ebony wanted to keep things pure and simple. Each table was adorned with small wooden boxes sprayed with gold fulled with gorgeous roses.
Ebony and Devon had 101 guests attended their New York City nuptials. They had their close family and friends close by as they started their journey to forever.
The couple added a little vintage touch on their big day and it made their love story pop!

“We had a three tiered naked wedding cake that sat on an old vintage suitcase,” said the bride. “A vanilla and caramel flavored experience that was to die for.”
Ebony celebrated her wedding day with her closest friends serving as her bridesmaids. They each handed Ebony small bouquets as she walked down the aisle as a symbol of their sisterhood.
Looks like Devon and Ebony’s friends and family had a grand time celebrating their “I Do’s!”
