“Jonothan and I met in a very unique way. I was in my junior semester at Troy University when we began to court. Although, I saw myself building a relationship in the future, I didn’t expect it to happen so soon, but Sweet Baby Jesus had other plans. Around April 2012, I’d noticed a lot of notifications on my Instagram page. I’d glanced at my phone and noticed the same username, @Jayphocus, from all the photos. I really didn’t think anything of it, so I began to continue studying. Then around November 2012, the same name resurfaced, this time I decided to look him up and to see if we had any friends in common. Well, to my surprise, we did have a friend in common, more specifically, it was my big cousin, who had been a friend of Jonothan’s for a very long time. I know what you all may be thinking, and of course, being the investigative journalist that I am, I’d reached out to my cousin to get the tea on Jonothan and sadly he had nothing but great things to say about him. So after I received the blessings from my cousin, I began to learn even more great things about Jonothan. Over the course of the next few months, we’d exchanged numbers and began speaking over the phone every day and night. We built a friendship first – learning everything there is to know about each other and I’m so glad that we did. Once we began to know each other even more, Jonothan asked me out on our first date which was January 7th, 2013. It was the first time we met in person and I knew from the beginning, that I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life. We made it official February 21st, 2013 and the rest is history. Over the last 4 years, We have grown together as a couple individually – spiritually, mentally and emotionally. I couldn’t imagine life without him and I’m truly thankful that he chose me to be his forever.”
“For a little over a year, I believed that I wanted a ball gown, and boy was I wrong,” said the bride. “I went dress shopping twice. The first time was just to see what looked good on me and, the ball gown was a no go. The second time, I went dress shopping it was magical. The first gown I’d tried on at that appointment was this ivory and silver Statuesque and lovely, strapless Allure Couture column gown adorned with a sweep of ruffles at the hem. It was to die for and once I’d walked out the room it felt so right. I left that day saying yes to my dream dress and it fit like a glove on my wedding day.”
“I kept it very simple, but elegant. My wedding earrings were silver/crystal Cezanne Rhinestone Cluster Stud Statement Earrings. They were so chic yet glamorous. I wore an elegant silver and crystal bracelet to top off my accessories from Bridals by Lori.”
“It was magical,” said Gabrielle of being a bride. “It was everything I’d ever wanted and much more. I’m so glad I’d waited!”
“My husband is a whole 3-course meal. He is an awesome father, lover and friend. He is pure-hearted and loving in so many ways. He excepts all my flaws and still loves me unconditionally.”
“I knew Gabrielle was the one that I needed and wanted to join me in my life’s journey of everlasting love and I’m just blessed that she’s been with me through the good times and tough times,” said the groom of when he knew his bride was “The One.” “She was everything I’d ever wanted in a woman and I couldn’t imagine life without her.”
“Jonothan and I are night and day. But that is what makes us whole. He compliments my crazy personality, and he matches my fly. He is really everything I’d wanted in a husband and best friend. He allows me to be myself in every aspect.”
“When I saw that the majority of his characteristics were/are like my father, I knew he was the one,” Gabrielle recalled. “I’d always love the relationship that my parents had and I knew if my future husband had any of the characteristics of my father, then I had a winner. His mannerism, work ethics and the love he has shown for his two sons were literally identical to my father. So I’m one lucky girl!”
The couple had a black baby grand piano from Atlanta Piano Rentals, featured an excessive amount of purple, magenta and white orchids cascading from it. Talk about a sight to see!
Gabrielle had her family and friends by her side on her wedding day and they look flawless don’t you agree!
Jonothan and his groomsmen definitely found their stride in laughter and love on his big day!
“My daddy, Waymon Storey, Sr. walked me down the aisle. He was my first love and will always be. He taught me how to be independent, strong… yet soft enough to allow Jonothan to love me. I owe my daddy everything. He’s really the best man that I’d ever known. Plus he was the wedding bank!”
For their 160 guests, the bride and groom pulled out all the stops in making an amazing reception space!
“Our 6-tiered Ivory cake with embossing and sugar molding included a display tier and Sugarwork. Mix with flowers and colors of lavender purple and blush. The key lime, strawberry, butter almond, and chocolate were all to die for! I wanted to make Jonothan feel a part of the cake tasting so we added the chocolate tier just for him!”
“They way he loves all of me without any limitations. I love the fact he sacrifices so much to make his family proud and happy.”
