Bridal Bliss: Mark And Brittney's Maryland Wedding Was Truly A Royal Affair

Mark proposed to Brittney soon before Valentine’s Day in 2016 and of course she said yes to begin their journey to forever!

It’s safe to say that the bride and her tribe were in the best mood ever on her wedding day!

“My wedding day was more than I could have ever imagined,” gushed Brittney. “It was beyond what I had expected it to be!”

“I knew my dress was the one when I saw myself meeting my husband in it,” said the bride. “It showed all the right curves which he loved.”

“I did something ‘blue’ which was my girl’s dresses and my undergarments,” said the bride. “Something ‘new’ were my shoes, something ‘old’ was my wedding day perfume that I had awhile but it was Mark’s favorite!”

“I wanted to stay within the theme entirely, and an updo is elegant and classy,” said bride Brittney on how she chose to style her hair on the big day.

Looks like Mark was well prepared and ready to dress to impress on his big day! We love the details.

“Man, it felt unreal,” said Mark of being a groom. “I felt that nothing else in the world mattered on this day because I was about to start a new journey with her.”

We love a good personal touch for a groom on his big day!

This happens to be one of the bride’s favorite photos from the day and we know why. Seeing the man of her dreams take a moment to praise God for her is truly everything!

The anticipation is building!

Moments before seeing each other for the first time on their big day, both Mark and Brittney look simply amazing!

“I felt indestructible knowing that I now fully have my partner, my rib and my soulmate forever to take on and attack life together as one,” said Mark of seeing his bride on their big day. That’s love.

Only the happiest of tears, both the bride and groom cried on their wedding day.

“I knew Mark was the one after he wrote in my prayer journal where I privately speak to God and said he promised to honor my body until we are married,” said the bride of knowing her groom was the one. “We had been sexually active the first 6 months of our courtship and he knew how much it meant to me to remain abstinent until marriage. He had found my prayer journal and wrote a signed letter vowing to honor, and respect my body until I am his wife. And that he did for 3 years.”

“I knew Britt was the one when she came with me to my Father’s funeral after we had only been dating a short period of time, and I didn’t ask her to, said Mark. “She cancelled a very important event she was going to be speaking at to make sure she was by my side for the passing of my father.”

“I said ”yes” to Mark because his character is identical of Christ and his spirit is pure self-sacrificing,” said the bride. “He was the only man who looked past my flaws and made me want to grow deeper with Christ. He is a self-reflection of the woman I was originally created to be before my world of sin.”

“I love how he never changes characters,” said the bride to describe Mark. “He will always represent Christ in everything that he does and his heart aligns with his character.”

“I love how she is so quick to forgive,” said Mark of Brittney. “In marriage, this will be key and I am blessed to have a wife who can be upset but at the end of the day, I know after each situation she will forgive or apologize. She can never hold a grudge towards anyone; she always apologizes and admits her wrongs even if its 24 hours lol, she’s never mad more than 1 day.”

“I knew I wanted sexy and elegant and different,” said the bride of picking appropriate gowns for her bridal party. “I wanted Royal blue to stand for our royal affair and I knew that is a bold color so it had to be right and it was!”

This entire bridal party is serving and certainly slaying!

Mark had the time of his life with his groomsmen by his side. Can’t you tell?!

The bride’s stepfather walked her down the aisle and the moment was so beautiful.

“One of my favorite photos is worshipping God at the altar before I am given away to my King,” shared the bride.

“I felt that my dreams and wishes had come true,” said the bride of being at the altar with her groom. “I had dreamed of not only a perfect Wedding but a perfect man of God to be on this new journey with me and here he was, after all we had been through. “

“Instead of the unity candle, we did the 3-cord strand. We wanted to incorporate this because the cord of three strands (often called “God’s Knot” ) symbolizes the joining of one man, one woman and God into a marriage relationship. Because this is a Christian marriage, we wanted to do this to let our witnesses know what keeping God at the center of our wedding ceremony will also help us keep God at the center of our marriage. Every time we think back on our wedding ceremony it will remind us of how God is intimately involved in our marriage. Our life motto for our marriage is that by keeping God at the center of our marriage, His love will continue to bind us together as one throughout our marriage.”

During their gorgeous Maryland wedding, you could definitely feel the love between Mark and Brittney!

“I always wanted the ‘idea’ of love, you know, the cute social media relationship that everyone wanted until God brought me my true love, a true man of God where we didn’t have to ‘force’ to become a social media couple, God gave us the platform to be a couple that inspires many through our transparency,” Brittney revealed. “I found true love when this man honored my request to not have sex and wait to marriage, when every other man before him didn’t. He valued what was once so precious to me and he made me feel like I was worth the Queen that I was.”

Mark and Brittney are definitely the cutest couple!

“I knew I would find true love, I just didn’t know she would exceed my expectations by being a social media popular influencer,” said Mark. “Growing up, I was teased for being chubby, so that made me insecure when I was dating; so when I first saw Britt on IG, I just knew she was out of my league. I knew that even though I had matured and was now in shape, I still didn’t think I was her type, but I took a chance anyway and now she’s my wife.”

When they entered their reception for the first time as husband and wife, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly’s “Before I Let Go” played. That’s certainly a way to get the party started! 

“Our wedding cake was of royalty just like our theme,” said the bride. “4 tiers of pure royalty perfect for a King and Queen and the inside of vanilla and chocolate just melted in your mouth.”

We know the bride and groom along with their 235 guests enjoyed this delcious cake!

“My wife is God-fearing, optimistic, courageous, upbeat, loving, charismatic, prayerful, spirit-filled, loyal, trustworthy, honest and faithful,” said Mark. Aww!
