After crashing a wedding and meeting her future husband, Reggie, Tiffany got the surprise proposal of her dreams on New Orleans. Now the happy couple have tied the knot in a traditional and elegant style and we’re sharing their sweet photos and even sweeter love story!
“Tiffany from Michele Renee Hair and Makeup Studio out of Tampa Florida did my hair and makeup,” says the bride. “On the actual wedding day, Tiffany and a makeup assistant came over to our hotel suite, set up shop and began working on the entire bridal party. They were like a well-oiled machine cranking out beautiful faces and hairstyles.”
“What I love most about him is his gentleness and his kindness,” says the bride. “You see it in his eyes.”
To accessorize her lovely gown, Tiffany wore diamond and pearl jewelry, a pearl, beaded handbag and a rhinestone, studded bridal belt.
For her wedding day, Tiffany chose these lace heels by David Tutera to match her cathedral veil.
“We used some combination of roses, hydrangeas and pearl accents throughout the entire wedding,” Tiffany shares.
“I carried a beautiful, lush, clutch bouquet of all red hearts roses pinned with pearls and a stem wrapped in ivory with accents of garnets and pearls,” says Tiffany.
Tiffany’s bridesmaids picked out their own dresses from David’s Bridal. “We went with a color that was closest to garnet because of the theme and colors of the wedding,” she explains.
Living it up for the bride on her big day! What could be better?
“Tiffany is a beautiful person inside and out,” Reggie shares. “She is very compassionate and caring.”
Even Reggie and his groomsman got in on the silly photo fun.
Reggie’s groomsman found their looks at Men’s Warehouse. Lookin’ good fellas!
“He makes me feel at home and at ease,” admits Tiffany. “He sees the good in every situation and in everyone. I really could not have asked God for more.”
“He is kind and it’s a kindness I have never seen in anyone before,” says Tiffany. “He is loving, patient and supportive.”
Don’t you just adore big bridal parties? They really make the photos both classic and unforgettable.
“When we first met I knew that there was something special about Tiffany,” Reggie shares. “As we talked and laughed it was amazing how much we had in common, it was as if we had known each other for ever.”
“I actually bought my dress off the rack from a boutique bridal shop,” Tiffany admits. “My mom and I waltzed in and decided to try a few of the dresses on. I was pretty flexible in what my dress would look like. We ended up getting two: one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Once I tried the ceremony dress on, both my mother and I agreed and I knew it was the one.”
Tiffany marched down the aisle. “My uncle walked me down the aisle,” she adds. “Since I lost my stepfather some years back and he didn’t have any daughters, it was a fitting decision for us both. I asked my cousins to borrow their dad for the day and they were both super supportive. It was a special moment for me, and I am pretty sure it was also a special moment for him.”
“Because the venue was naturally beautiful on its own we added very little ceremony décor,” says Tiffany. “The only decor was placed on the stage where the vows took place. We had two iron candelabras that were placed on either side of the ledge which had LED pillar candles and were accented with greenery and red roses.”
Reggie and Tiffany lovingly exchanged traditional vows.
The bride and groom lit a unity candle to symbolize the joinng of their families.
“Looking into her eyes, it was a wonderful feeling and I wanted to savor every moment,” says the proud groom.
“We had two flower girls, my niece and Reggie’s Godaughter (and his best man’s daughter),” says Tiffany. “Our ring bearer is the son of the best man.”
“I have always been afraid of commitment,” Reggie admits. “It’s always been a real fear for me to end up with the wrong person…forever. But with Tiffany, it was different. She is perfect for me in every way and I feel blessed being married to such an amazing person.”
Here’s an unexpected choice that we love: the couple chose “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran for their first dance song.
Elegant tablescapes greeted guests at the couple’s sit-down reception dinner.
“The flavor of the cake was an almond vanilla and we went with that flavor because Reggie, our cake expert, liked it the most during the tasting,” says the bride. “I trusted his judgment.” Kudos to Tammy Waterman from Special Moments Events Planning in Tampa for helping Tiffany and Reggie plan their dream wedding every step of the way.
Guests enjoyed a photo booth and lots of delicious favors.
There was no shortage of entertainment at the couple’s wedding: “We had an open bar, and everything else took care of itself,” says the bride. “In addition we had a deejay, photo booth and during the pre-ceremony and cocktail hour we had a soprano saxophonist.”
