We admit it! We like to talk about sex. And apparently, so do you.We asked ESSENCE.com readers to write to us and tell us if and how they thought their sex would change after marriage and we got a lot of responses. Our comment: sex is great. If you’ve found the right fit, don’t let it slip.
What You Said:
Sex after being married to my husband is wonderful and it has only gotten better since. Yes, we have had times where we couldn’t or didn’t even want to, but those are few and far in between. My husband takes his time to learn my body and what pleases me because he knows that I am what he has to work with for the long haul and vice versa.

After I tie the knot I think the sex will be awsome because we will still be in the honeymoon phase. After that, it will probaby become routine, boring, and more like a chore-especially if we both have hectic schedules. To prevent that sort of thing from happenning we would definitely have to start using romance enhancers, and most importantly not take each other for granted.

During the honeymoon stage, i believe the sex will be adventurous and fun. After maybe 5 years, it will become a little tame, but with communication and a lot of love, it will still be fun.

Well, I’ll start by saying I am 31 years old and he is 28. He’s a virgin although I am not. I have been abstaining for 2 years so I KNOW our sex life will go from 0 to 60 after marriage however, I do wonder how HE will change after we have sex. He’s NEVER had it and we all know how our first piece made us act a lil’ different. I am very curious as to how it will effect him, as well as our relationship. It’s something we are both looking forward to!

I do not believe sex changes at all. I believe sex is what you make it. So it could get better or just plain suck depending on the person. It is an emotion and when u feel good with the one you love then it will be great.

I am a 24 year old female from ohio. I must say that before my husband and I got married the sex was more passionate, hotter and a bit wilder. Now we have two children and two different work schedules, which shouldn’t be a reason that the sex life dies, but I think that combined with laziness and being comfortable has done just that. I married my opposite in every way the yin to my yang and sex is no different. We are still young and i want to try different things, games, etc, but, he’s really not into it….he claims he would try it if I went and bought it but we’ll see I just haven’t had the money to do it yet. There’s no foreplay, no passion at least not all the time–that may be asking too much, lol. Can sex after marriage get boring? It can and it does unless you keep things interesting…I will try everything at least 2x! Now if I can just get my husband on board!!!!!

Yes, and I’m one of those married ladies that just can’t keep her hands (or body…LOL!!!) off of her husband!! The sex is DA BOMB every single time!! We have a lot of fun and always enjoy each other! Intimacy was hot with us when we were dating, but after we got married it’s ON FIRE!!!!
