It looks like Insecure star Yvonne Orji’s love is still on top and going strong.
On Halloween night, the actress was spotted on Tina Knowles Lawson’s Instagram feed enjoying a night out with her bae, boyfriend ex-Cleveland Browns star Emmanuel Acho, in full costume.
The couple dressed up as one of the most iconic Black film couples of our time—Monica and Quincy from classic romance Love and Basketball. Sanaa Lathan and Omar Epps brought the childhood friends-turned-college sweethearts and married ballers to life onscreen back in 2000 and they quickly became Black audience favorites.
Orji and Acho rocked the matching Crenshaw basketball Jerseys (we swoon!) and adorable smiles. Orji even rocked her hair just like Monica did in the film, with all of the early 90s era nostalgia details there. For their photos, the lovebirds acted out some of the classic scenes and poses from the film, including the tear-jerker moment from the ending when Monica played Quincy for his heart in an emotional game of one-on-one—and won!
