personal mission can be summed up with five P’s–”prayer, people, protest, policy, and polls.” Like
a record number of Black women in Alabama, the Birmingham native is running for office and hopes to win a seat on the Public Service Commission (Place 1). A dedicated activist with groups like the Poor People’s Campaign, Faith in Action, and Stand as One Alabama, McClure vows to “advocate for the working poor, the homeless, and the forgotten and marginalized.” McClure believes “that by acting in the best interest of [the most vulnerable], we can elevate the quality of life for all people.”
