Candidate name: Tabitha Johnson-Green
State: Georgia
Bio: Tabitha Johnson-Green, who describes herself as a “Christian, wife, mother,” as well as a business owner, has spent two decades as a registered nurse. The Georgia native holds degrees from Georgia Southern University, Middle Georgia College and Ultimate Medical Academy.
Her platform includes what she terms “the deep societal issues” of today: the rising costs of health care, housing and education; gun violence and mass incarceration; a lack of economic opportunity; the environment; and struggles for fundamental equality. She wrote on her
website: “Without the fundamental tools for success, our neighbors, friends, and family slip through the cracks, falling into a cycle of poverty, crime, violence, physical and mental illness, and dependency.” While Johnson-Green hopes to win and head to Washington, D.C., she
also noted: “I am not a career-politician. I am a concerned citizen who wants to help shape and define the laws that govern our everyday lives and circumstances. … I know the struggles of the everyday citizen.”
