50 Cent: Oral Sex Is a Must

Before you get upset, we didn’t say it; rapper Curtis “50 cent” Jackson did. Last week, besides rapping, 50 Cent did what he does best… when he used Twitter to go off. The G-Unit frontman stopped posting anti-gay tweets to focus on heterosexual men… In the wee hours of the morning, after one of his female followers requested Jackson to father her future children, 50 — who declined — offered her the opportunity to perform fellatio on him instead. Tweeting himself into a state of arousal, he asked why he should be faulted for wanting oral sex and stated that it’s what he “deserves.” He later dropped his most shocking tweet of the night, saying that men should commit suicide if they are not going down on women. While 50 goes way too far with his attention-grabbing tweets, he does have a point. Black men in particular have long been stereotypically opposed to the idea of cunnilingus. There are several examples of refusal to go downtown in ’90s-era hip hop, from DMX to Method Man, however, Black men seem to be more open to the idea of using all avenues to pleasure women, now more than ever. With Black women being more assertive about what they want in the bedroom, it’s hard to imagine that today’s man would not realize how much the balance and fairness with oral sex is imperative to healthy sexual relationships. I’m not saying that men who don’t go down should kill themselves. I’m just saying, I feel sorry for their girlfriends. Are there really a few men still waiting in the balance, who only go down ’cause they have to’ or on an ‘after-shower-only’ basis? Let us know, are Black men still orally-stingy?
