It’s been a rough road for these two WNBA stars. In April, both Brittney and Glory were arrested on charges of domestic abuse—and were consequently suspended for seven games—but they shocked everyone when, three weeks later, they announced they had tied the knot.
Their bliss was short-lived: On Friday, Brittney announced that she would be seeking an annulment, a mere 27 days after the wedding. That’s not all—one day before Brittney’s announcement, Glory shared that she was pregnant with the couple’s baby.
It’s still unclear whether Eddie and Tracey ever officially married, but either way, they had a lavish commitment ceremony in Bora Bora on New Years Day 2008. But two weeks later, the pair decided to part ways. E! News reported that the two clashed on whether Tracey would take Eddie’s name.
Janet may have found her happily ever after in the love department now, but what about then? Janet jumped the broom when she was 18, marrying James DeBarge, but divorcing him three months later. The love saga didn’t stop there, though. Up until 2005, rumors swirled that the couple had secretly parented a daughter. Janet was quick to shut them down.
We’re still learning things about this unlikely marriage. Before Aaliyah’s untimely death in 2001, she married the much-older R. Kelly in 1994. Aaliyah, who was really 15 at the time, said “I do” to 28-year-old R. Kelly, but she lied on the marriage license, claiming that she was 18. Her parents had the marriage annulled seven months later.
Just nine days after former NBA player Dennis Rodman and actress Carmen Electra eloped in Vegas, the couple called it quits. After requesting an annulment, Rodman said in a statement that he wasn’t of sound mind at the time that he said “I do.”
Ojani Noa was the first man to ever walk Jennifer Lopez down the aisle. They married in 1997 but divorced just 11 months later without officially. Since their rocky split, Noa has publicly bashed J. Lo and her mother and sued the superstar over song rights. (He even told the world she shouldn’t remarry!) Ouch!
It was the engagement, wedding and divorce heard ’round the world. No expense was spared in Kim’s 2011 nuptials to NBA cutie Kris Humphries (seriously—it reportedly cost $6 million). But you can’t buy happiness. Kim and Kris called it quits (kwits?) after 72 days.
Although technically, these former lovebirds did make it to the one-year mark (just barely!) before filling for divorce, the bitter cheating rumors and accusations that foliowed lead Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose’s fans to believe their marriage was over long before the paperwork was filed.
