In an interview with ‘Today Show’s’ Meredith Vieira, Alicia Keys said “I learned the balance of being able to create, being able to have time with my family, being able to really experience life and that made for the best music so far,” about her new album ‘The Element of Freedom’. The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and pianist discussed her charity ‘Keep a Child Alive’ which gives aid to children in Africa affected by HIV and a sold out World AIDS Day performance. Keys said she will make a “very, very special announcement” at that show. Fans and Today Show hosts sang along with her to ‘Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart.’
Keys also sang her contribution from her popular duo with Jay Z, ‘Empire State of Mind’ and the crowd pleasing lead single ‘No One’ from her previous album, ‘As I Am’.
