That’s the latest news regarding the artist, who’s been teasing fans for several weeks now. She recorded a vlog promising to present a new side of herself. “I’m a new person, everything is new,” she shared.
It’s that growth she’s looking to showcase on her fifth studio album, Girl on Fire. “… Before making this record, in some ways I felt like a lion locked in a cage… I felt like a girl misunderstood that no one really knew. I felt like it was time to stop making excuses for any part of my life that I wanted to change. Once I made that choice I became a Girl on Fire, the lion broke free,” wrote the 14-time Grammy winner.
There’s much speculation that her official lead single will be “Not Even a King,” which she has performed several times at intimate events including the MTV Upfronts ceremony this spring.
In addition to album promotion this fall, the mother of one will hold her ninth annual Black Ball event benefiting her Keep A Child Alive charity. This year she will honor Oprah Winfrey for her philanthropy work.
