The 2010 Soul Train Awards are fast approaching, and Alicia Keys and Usher are leading the way with four nominations each, MTV.com reported. It looks like these two friends — who collaborated on Usher’s 2004 hit “My Boo” — will be vying for the same trophies. The nominees were announced yesterday, Monday October 18 and showed Keys up for Best R&B/Soul Artist Female, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Record of the Year. Meanwhile, Usher is nominated for Best R&B/Soul Artist Male, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Dance Performance. Rapper and singer Drake wasn’t far behind the two music mainstays with three nominations for Best Hip Hop Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Record of the year. Other major nominees include Erykah Badu, Monica, Sade, Fantasia, Nicki Minaj, Ne-Yo and B.o.B. Plus, we can’t wait for R. Kelly’s opening act and for the Soul Train Awards show — which will be hosted for the second year in a row by Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard — to present Ron Isley and Anita Bake with their well-deserved Legends Awards.
