On Dancing with the Stars Monday evening, Amber Rose told Maksim Chmerkovskiy that she was “going home.”
During the duo’s week 6 rehearsal, the model and her pro partner got into a an argument that resulted in Chmerkovskiy hitting the dance studio’s mirrored wall and Rose leaving practice in tears.
“Babe, those are f—ing lock steps,” Chmerkovskiy, 36, told Rose as he punched the wall in frustration that she wasn’t executing his explanation of the dance routine. “C’mon man, it’s lock steps.”
But Rose didn’t understand his instruction and left practice crying. “Alright, I’m going home for the day,” the 32-year-old said to her pro partner. “Maks, I’m going home.”
“If you’re done, then we’re not going to be ready. Period, end of story,” he said to the mother of one, who wiped tears away from her eyes. “Amber, I’m not letting you go. You have to do it again.”

Unfortunately, Rose “going home” was a foresight into the duo’s future in the sixth week of the reality dancing competition series.
As the pair entered Monday night having made up from their tiff, they learned during the live show that they were in jeopardy alongside fellow celebrity contestants Jana Kramer and Calvin Johnson. But despite Rose telling host Erin Andrews that she was “having the time of her life” on DWTS after she performed her cha-cha with Chmerkovskiy, the judges’ scores (28/40) combined with viewers votes weren’t enough to push the pair into week 7.
After being sent home by co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Andrews, Rose told audiences of her experience on the reality series: “It was such an amazing experience. People don’t know this about me, but I’m really shy in a lot of ways and I think that showed on the ballroom floor. So I tried my best and thank you so much for having me here.”
Although Chmerkovskiy will also not continue on season 23, the expectant father, who will welcome his first child — a son — with fellow pro dancer and fiancée Peta Murgatroyd in January, told Bergeron that he is “ready for diaper duty.”
Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
