Andre 3000 Still Up for Jimi Hendrix Biopic?

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Mr. ‘Three Stacks’ but it looks like he’s back — and on the silver screen? The hip-hop pioneer may  play guitar legend Jimi Hendrix in a forthcoming biopic, Esquire Magazine reports. 

In a recent Esquire interview, actress Hayley Atwell said she may co-star in the film alongside 3000. “Next up is possibly a Jimi Hendrix biopic — an independent film with Andre 3000 from OutKast playing Jimi Hendrix,” Atwell told Esquire. “But I don’t know, really. The Atwell team is like, ‘Let’s just wait and see.'”

In other Andre news, the rapper is reportedly working on a new Outkast album slated for release in 2012. The album would feature solo projects from both Dre and Big Boi, HipHopwired.com reports.
