Aretha Franklin has cleared her schedule for the month of June.
The news comes on the heels of cancellation announcements she made about performances on May 20th in Chicago and May 26th at Foxwood Casino in Connecticut, reports Rolling Stone.
The aforementioned shows were axed so the Queen of Soul could undergo medical treatment. The singer has stayed mum on details surrounding the treatment. But a spokesperson said she’ll resume touring in July.
Although she’s changing her schedule to accommodate her medical needs, Franklin appeared, via satellite, on the finale episode of American Idol. She sang a bevy hits with the show’s female finalists.
It’s not the first time Franklin has canceled shows due to illness. In 2010, she canceled an entire tour for unidentified health reasons.
