ASAP Rocky has become a true fashion muse, especially for brands with a certain subversive and artistic point of view.
So it doesn’t come as a surprise that following news of a capsule collection with J.W. Anderson, the 27-year-old has stepped out of the design room and onto set of the fall campaign for Dior Homme.
The rapper was one of four men chosen to be the new faces — including filmmaker Larry Clark, young French actor Rod Paradot and model Dylan Roques– because their talents and rebelliousness inspire the brand’s creative director Kris Van Assche, who wanted to show diversity within a single point of view.
“When it comes to Dior, it’s just prestige and elegance in my opinion,” ASAP Rocky told WWD. “It’s almost like Coco Chanel was for the lady.”
The ads are scheduled to start appearing in select men’s publications mid July.
