Not only is Beyoncé getting in formation to embark on a new world tour, but the singer and her #BeyGOOD Charitable Foundation are preparing to offer aid to the people of Flint, Michigan.
#BeyGOOD has partnered with the United Way to offer aid to those affected by the Flint Water Crisis, according to a statement released by Live Nation.
7 Facts on Flint’s Water Crisis
Funds from the foundation will address the immediate needs of thousands afflicted by the lead-polluted water by “distributing thousands of filtration pitchers, faucet mount filters, replacement cartridges and truckloads of water to underserved populations.”
The singer’s initiative has also connected with the Community Foundation of Greater Flint to establish a special fund to address long-term needs of children who were affected by the crisis.
Fans are invited to participate in the #BeyGOOD initiative by supporting their local United Way Charity.
Bey’s Formation World Tour will stop in Detroit on May 29.
