In her first concert in 9-months, she took the stage in a silver showgirl-like outfit complete with pink pumps as she danced and sang a whopping 27 songs from across all four albums. Before the evening was finished, Beyoncé switched costumes four times.
The diva reportedly payed tribute to many of music’s fallen voices from the late Whitney Houston to the late Donna Summer. The Houston native even took a moment to honor Lauryn Hill, whom celebrated her 37th birthday last night as well.
As the YBF reports, this weekend’s quad of concerts is being captured for an upcoming DVD much like her four nights at Roseland concerts in August.
How could last night’s epic event be complete without Beyoncé’s husband? Jay-Z, who’s on tour with Kanye West in Europe, flew home on his only day off to see his wife return to the stage. He soon tweeted “‘I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine.’ Beyoncé is the best performer in the world. Period.”
