If there’s one thing you don’t mess with, it’s Beyoncé’s empire. Recently the singer shut down sales of Feyoncé engagement mugs on the craft retail website Etsy.
According to TMZ, Beyoncé’s lawyers are taking action against Etsy for selling the mugs, which merges the word “fiance” with “Beyoncé” and adds a ring in the place of the “O.”
“The singer felt the pun was more than coincidental — right down to the accent on the last “e” — so her lawyers fired off a letter to the company crying foul … and then threatening them,” reports TMZ.
Although anyone can sell items on the site without approval from the company, Etsy removed the mugs from its site. However, if you’re lucky you can still score feyonce clothing and glassware, but those might be removed shortly too.
Bow down, Etsy!
