Yosra El-Essawy, the official world tour photographer for Beyoncé has died from cancer according to a tribute image posted by the singer on The Queen Bey Tumblr, showing the two in a warm embrace with the caption #restinpeace. The 33 year-old-photographer, who documented some of Beyoncé’s most memorable images over the past couple of years, was diagnosed with inoperable esophageal cancer a year and a half ago and took to Instagram to document her journey battling the disease.
During one of her Mrs. Carter Show world tour stops, Beyoncé dedicated a “Halo” performance to her friend and this past September the singer took to Bey Hive to post a special tribute video titled “We’re With You Yosra,” which the photographer gave a heartfelt thanks for on Instagram.
We send our condolences to all of her family and friends.
