In the handwritten letter, Beyoncé shares fond memories of her mom singing to her as a child, which she says inspired her to become the singing sensation that she is today. “You are the first voice that ever sang to me,” Beyoncé wrote. “Everything I am is because of you.”
Beyoncé, who celebrated her first Mother’s Day with baby Blue Ivy, wrote “now that I’m a mother, I truly realize all the sacrifices you made for us.” Miss Tina, who’s always been by her side, collaborated with Beyoncé on House of Dereon and many of Beyoncé’s past stage costumes.
The love between this mother-daughter duo glows just as Beyoncé’s love for her own daughter shines through. “The best thing about having a daughter is having a true legacy,” said Beyoncé to PEOPLE after being named “World’s Most Beautiful Woman.”
“My love for you goes beyond what I can say,” she wrote in closing. We hope to see their relationship continue to blossom.
