ESSENCE Festival headliner Beyonce got fans amped yesterday by teasing a special announcement to come this morning.
The reveal turned out to be her first commercial under her new $50 million contract for Pepsi, which featured a new song, “Grown Woman.” The new single follows closely behind “Bow Down/ I Been On,” a gritty track the singer leaked in March, that meshes two songs off her forthcoming album.
Clad in all black, the “Mirrors” Pepsi ad features Queen Bey in a dance battle against her former selves including Sasha Fierce and Beyonce from her “Crazy in Love” and “Bootilicious” videos.
“Embrace your past, but live for now,” the R&B diva says in the ad.
Beyonce kicks off her highly anticipated ‘Mrs. Carter Show’ world tour on April 15.
