Bill Cosby’s team is addressing recent rumors that his wife, Camille, is filing for divorce.
Earlier this week, an explosive report from Radar Online claimed Mrs. Cosby was considering leaving her husband of 54 years, but a representative for Bill Cosby says the reports are false.
“The accusations they have made in their tabloid are absolutely false,” Cosby’s publicist and spokesperson, Andrew Wyatt, told PEOPLE. “Mrs. and Mr. Cosby are not getting divorced and she’s with him in the Philadelphia home as we speak.”
Wyatt went on to deny any problems within their marriage or among the Cosby family whatsoever, despite the high profile nature of the mounting sexual assault allegations, as well as a recent conviction, against the 80-year-old comedian.
“No issues in the marriage, no issues with the children,” Wyatt added.”These children are grown women in their 40s and 50s. These are not kids. These are not little kids running away from their father.”
Although Mrs. Cosby released a lengthy public statement defending her husband back in May, she has yet to directly comment on the divorce reports.
Chatter around the status of the couple’s marriage comes in the wake of Bill Cosby’s recent sexual assault conviction in April, which saw a jury find him guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent assault for drugging and assaulting a woman at his Philadelphia home in 2004.
At least 60 women have come forward to accuse Cosby of sexual assault to date.
Cosby is scheduled to be sentenced for the charges in late September.
