Bill Cosby’s wife Camille arrived at court with her husband for his sexual assault trial, PEOPLE confirms.
Cosby spokesman Andrew Wyatt confirmed that the two arrived at the courthouse in Norristown, where Cosby faces charges for allegedly drugging Andrea Constand in his Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, mansion in 2004.
Before Monday, Camille had been absent from the highly-publicized trial. Wyatt previously told PEOPLE that Camille had planned to attend “one day,” and has remained supportive of her husband of more than 50 years before and after he was charged.
The Cosbys smiled as they walked arm-in-arm into the courthouse and appeared to share a few laughs as they geared up for week two of the trial. The pair walked into the courthouse together but Camille entered the courtroom about 30 minutes later than her husband. She said in the front row.
Constand and her mother, Gianna, walked into the courtroom and sat on the prosecution’s side at about 10:30 a.m.
“Camille is standing by him and there appears to be no shift in her feelings about this,” a source tells PEOPLE. “They have been married for over 50 years and she loves him. Of course, it’s very painful for Camille to go through this. For both of them, it’s a nightmare every day.”
Cosby has pleaded not guilty to three charges of aggravated indecent assault, insisting his sexual contact with Constand was consensual, and has denied similar allegations from more than 60 women.
Constand, who is gay, says their sexual contact was not consensual.
Cosby has had other supporters in court, including Keshia Knight Pulliam, 38, who played Rudy, the youngest daughter of Cosby’s Dr. Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show. Pulliam escorted Cosby into the courthouse on the trial’s first day last Monday.
Sheila Frazier, 68, who played the wife of Cosby’s character in the 1978 Neil Simon film, California Suite, showed up with him last Wednesday, walking hand in hand with him into the courthouse.
Phylicia Rashad, 68, who played his Cosby’s wife on their long-running hit show, will make an appearance at some point during the trial as well, Wyatt previously told PEOPLE, adding that she is in currently performing in a play.
Not all of his former co-stars are supporting him, though. Lili Bernard, a former Cosby Show actress who has also accused Cosby of sexual assault, showed up in court in support of Constand.
Bernard wore a button saying, “We Stand in Truth.”
Defense Rests as Closing Arguments Set to Begin

Schaffer had been a witness for the prosecution who testified last week that in 2005, he and other investigators were still pursuing leads in the case of Constand’s allegations against Cosby when then-Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr., abruptly issued a press release announcing he was terminating the investigation.
Cosby did not testify, but after the defense rested, Montgomery County Judge Steven O’Neill put Cosby under oath to make sure he approved of the strategy.
