A Black Wisconsin sheriff is raising a lot of eyebrows after celebrating the most recent acquittal in the Freddie Gray case at the Republican National Convention.
The New York Daily News reports that Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke said a Baltimore judge’s decision to drop all charges against a third officer in the Gray case was “good news.”

“I would like to make something very clear: Blue Lives Matter in America,” he declared, which was met with roaring applause from the crowd.
Referencing Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, he said that in order to “make America safe again,” the nation must first become a safe place.
“What we witnessed in Ferguson and Baltimore and Baton Rouge was a collapse of the social order,” he said. “So many of the actions of the Occupy movement and Black Lives Matter transcends peaceful protest and violates the code of conduct we rely on. I call it anarchy.”

He ended his speech by voicing his support for Trump, who became the party’s official nominee yesterday evening. He said that Trump is the leader this nation needs to repair our society.
“Throughout his campaign and over the many years before, [Trump] has consistently and constantly raised his voice, not only in defense of the character of the American police officer, but the need for all people to feel that they are being treated fairly and respectfully by law enforcement,” said Clarke.
