Nick Gordon, the ex-boyfriend of Whitney Houston’s late daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was arrested in Florida Saturday on a domestic violence charge. Police observed that Gordon’s girlfriend Laura Leal had a slightly swollen bloody lip when they arrived on the scene. Gordon is in the process of being released after being given a $500 bond. He is expected to appear in court on April 6. (People)
Keri Hilson is opening up about her battle with depression. The singer revealed during a recent event with Silence the Shame—an organization that aims to demystify the stigmas around mental health—that she’s spent seven years of her life battling depression, “I can’t say that I’m all the way clear, but I’m in the clear.” (MadameNoire)
On Sunday, Barry Jenkins gave attendees at SXSW a glimpse of the Oscars speech he never got the opportunity to deliver. The director reflected on his award-winning film, Moonlight, before delivering the final line of his speech, which he never got to share during the Academy Awards. “I have this thing I wanted to say about brick walls,” Jenkins said. “I’ve run through a lot of brick walls to get to this stage. I only realized looking back that is what I’d done. I look back and I realize there are friends who are left on the other side of those walls. It’s a very bittersweet thing.” (Variety)

DeWanda Wise has also recently opened up about depression. A fatal NYC helicopter crash has left five dead after one of the passenger’s bags may have inadvertently hit the emergency fuel shutoff button. The pilot, the lone survivor of the crash, was able to free himself and was rescued. (CNN)
