Bobby Brown has been released from jail after doing only nine hours of time in place of a 55-day sentence, reports TMZ.
The extended sentence came as a result of Brown’s arrest in California on October 24 for driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. He was scheduled to start serving his sentence on March 20, the same day he turned himself in to authorities and served a much shorter punishment.
The New Edition singer is not completely off the hook as he’s been placed under house arrest and is being forced to wear an electronic monitor for eight days. He’s also on probation for four years and is being ordered to attend alcohol education classes for 18 months.
