After leaving daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown’s bedside for the first time since her hospitalization to honor a performance commitment in Los Angeles, singer Bobby Brown gave a heartfelt thanks to his supporters and fans.
Brown, 46, performed at the Soul Food Festival on Saturday, reports PEOPLE.com. During his performance he took a moment to thank the crowd for their unwavering support during this difficult time.
“I wanna thank all of y’all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family,” he said after his opening song. “Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God.”
Brown is still unresponsive after being found unconscious in her bathtub on January 31 in Georgia.
Brown’s performance was a huge hit with fans, reports TMZ, who were moved to tears throughout. After performing, he hopped right on a flight back to Atlanta to return to his daughter’s side.
