Bobby Brown’s sister reportedly stormed out of her niece’s funeral yesterday.
According to TMZ, Leolah Brown was attending Bobbi Kristina Brown’s funeral in Georgia when she interrupted Pat Houston (Whitney Houston’s former sister-in-law and executor of her estate) during her speech.
Brown reportedly yelled, “Pat you know you are wrong for this!” before storming out of the church to speak to reporters.
“This has only just begun,” she said. “We are on to Pat and she will be found out. She is a Garland not a Houston. Whitney will rise from her grave to haunt her.”
This latest source of tension between the families reportedly stemmed from the fact that Houston sent out funeral invitations suggesting that in lieu of flowers, guests should send donations to The Marion P. Foundation, a charity she runs for troubled teens.
Bobbi K’s funeral was held at the Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Saturday. Tyler Perry, Kelly Price, Monica, and Phaedra Parks were among the celebrities in attendance.
Brown died last Sunday, nearly six months after she was first found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home in Rosetta, Georgia. Her live-in boyfriend Nick Gordon was not invited to the funeral despite writing a letter to Bobby Brown and Pat Houston begging to attend.
Tensions between the families have been high ever since Bobbi K. was found. Last week a source revealed that the families couldn’t agree on the funeral plans and that “both sides [of the family] are still not happy and on the same page.”
