Whether you’re a working mom juggling multiple responsibilities or an entrepreneur who is always on the clock – those with busy schedules know how difficult it is to make hitting the gym an everyday priority. That’s why we’re so grateful for Boris Kodjoe’s new fitness app, KOFIT, for bringing the gym to us.
The actor spoke at the 2019 Essence Festival about the app’s compatibility with on-the-go users. “The time factor is a huge deal for people,” Kodjoe explained on the Essence Fest Power stage. “We all have jobs. We all have families. We have careers. We have stuff to do. We never find time to go to the gym. We don’t have the equipment. We don’t have the access.”
The Resident Evil actor says KoFit is the solution that will help men, women and children meet their fitness goals even when they’re strapped for time. “We wanted to keep it really simple – all you need is five to twenty minutes,” he tells the audience.
The easy to navigate KOFIT app is lead by Boris, his wife and actress Nicole Ari Parker, his brother and personal trainer/nutritionist Patrick Kodjoe, and Patrick’s wife, certified yoga instructor Nicole Kodjoe. Together, they take the mystery out of health and nutrition, giving you effective yet non-intimidating exercise routines that are never longer than 20-minutes. You can also find other wellness tips about nutrition, meditation and daily mantras that keep you inspired.
Best of all, Kodjoe says the app is designed for the entire family. “When we looked at the market and all these different workout apps, there’s one thing we never saw…we never say any children. Children are most affected by obesity in this country. Seventy-five percent of kids are overweight or obese.”
The KOFIT family then reconvened at the Wellness House to give a deeper dive into the app and guide an official workout.
If you’re interested in getting your health and wellness goals on track, KOFIT is now available for download on all platforms. Bonus – your first 30 days are free of charge!
