Brandy Returns to TV in 'Drop Dead Diva'

Those of us who miss Brandy as an actress (RIP “Moesha”) will be happy to know she’s returning to the small screen with a recurring role on Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva.”

The starlet will be playing Elisa Shayne, a hardworking nurse who gets in legal trouble after quitting her job to take care of her elderly father. 

When Elisa heads to her attorney’s office, sparks fly, and she ends up leaving with more than legal advice. It’s this element of suspense that has Brandy looking forward to her new role. “I’m excited to play a woman with a secret that could have such a huge impact on other characters,” the singer/actress told TV Guide.

“Drop Dead Diva” returns for a new season this Sunday, June 19 on Lifetime. Wendy Williams will guest star. You bet we’ll be tuning in!
