Having fun is great, but giving back is even better.
Bachelor and bachelorette party weekends are usually lavish, over the top and filled with good times and partying. When the time came to plan their co-ed bachelor and bachelorette parties, bride-to-be Oni Burrell and her future husband had something a little different in mind. The couple took a break from showcasing their love to instead give love back to others.
The future Mr. and Mrs. and their bridesmaids and groomsmen all took a trip to Atlanta’s a non profit nursing home, A.G. Rhodes Home, to volunteer for the day as part of their joint bachelor and bachelorette festivities.
11 Alive reports that the bride, and her future hubby, who are Texas and Louisiana natives, gathered with their friends in Atlanta to celebrate their upcoming nuptials and decided to include the trip to the nursing home because giving back in this way was meaningful to the bride, who cared for her grandmother during college.
“It’s important to show you care,” Burrell told 11 Alive.

Throughout their visit, the bridal party played scrabble and bingo with the residents and even helped the aging attendees show off a few dance moves.
The bride and groom will jump the broom in March. Congrats!
