Atlanta Police are frantically searching for a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention employee who has been missing for almost two weeks after calling in sick to work.
The disappearance of 35-year-old Timothy Jerrell Cunningham has stumped police, as well as friends and family, who have been on the hunt for him since Feb. 12.
The Morehouse and Harvard graduate was last heard from when he spoke to his sister the morning of his disappearance, according to NBC Washington. His parents eventually drove to his Atlanta home from Maryland when he did not answer their calls and texts. At his home, they found his car, house keys, wallet, phone and his dog, WSB-TV reported.
Cunningham worked as an epidemic intelligence officer and has been deployed for a number public health emergencies. A $10,000 reward has been offered for anyone with information.
“It’s not the type of news you want to hear,” said Cunningham’s father, Terrell. “Thirty-five years old, but always your child.”
“This is an appeal to the public,“ he added. “We’re seeking your help in bringing Tim back safe.”
Anyone with information pertaining to Cunningham’s disappearance has been asked to contact the Atlanta Police Department.
