CeeLo Green is set to hit the road with ESSENCE Music Festival headliner, Lionel Richie.
Green announced Wednesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that he would not be returning to The Voice as a judge and that instead he will be joining Richie on his ongoing tour.
According to People, the two will embark on a concert special titled, All The Hits All Night Long.
CeeLo shared his anticipation for working with Richie. “I was watching a performance like ‘Oh my God I got my work cut out for me. This man is timeless.'” he said. “This man and his music has literally raised me in the right way.”
DeGeneres played a montage of Green and Richie’s most memorable fashion moments. “The two of you together on tour, the outfits alone, it’s going to be great.” said Ellen.
The “All the Hits” tour is one of many projects on Green’s plate. The star is also set to make his movie debut in the upcoming film Can A Song Save Your Life.
Green told Ellen that he has big plans going forward. “I will not go quietly into the night…expect more great music and entertainment done in my own unique unmistakable and undeniable way.”
The All The Hits All Night Long tour featuring CeeLo will run this summer from May to August.
