With less than two weeks until the 2013 ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans, we’re taking a moment to salute our headliner, Beyoncé.
Today marks the 10th anniversary of her multi-platinum debut album, Dangerously in Love. On June 22, 2003, Beyoncé released the solid body of work which spawned a number of hit singles—”Crazy in Love” (feat. Jay-Z), “Baby Boy” (feat. Sean Paul), “Me, Myself and I,” “Naughty Girl” and “The Closer I Get to You” (with Luther Vandross).
The album shot to the top of the charts and was well received around the world. Dangerously in Love would earn Beyoncé several MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, a BET Award, as well as five Grammys.
To celebrate the album that many of us are still jammin’ to today, check out Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love” and “Baby Boy” videos.
