Honorees included singers Estelle Darlings, Keri Hilson, radio personality Egypt Sherrod, philanthropist Tracy Wilson Mourning, Director of Communications Moet-Hennessy Jennifer Yu, and Billboard Magazine Editor-in-Chief Danyel Smith.
“My spirit is lifted, really,” Keri Hilson tells ESSENCE.com. “I’m humbled. We’ve definitely come so far. I realized how many liberties we’ve expressed, and how many liberties we’ve taken, and made that our own. We’re allowed to be Avant Garde, we’re allowed to have a powerful voice, and not have to apologize for it.”

WEEN is a global non-profit that focuses on uplifting youth and portraying women in the entertainment business in a positive light.
“I love what they stand for, I love what they’re doing,” shares Estelle. “It gives me an extra boost to keep me doing what I’m doing. This is something special to me because it’s about women supporting women, so this is an amazing moment. It’s great that they’re doing this.”
Congratulations to the honorees, keep up the fantastic work!
